All the features of the old Zif Widget and more organized for easy access to functions by pressing a button. All functions fit on a 1024x768 screen, use only the functions that you need without having to scroll around the zscript window with the mouse. Interface data is saved to disk and reloaded when a new button is pressed so that you don't loose your settings.
To Install - Place contents of the Zip file into it's own directory. Normally in your Zscript directory. Run Zif Slick by loading the file Zif_Slick_Booter.txt or (zsc) into Zbrush. If you use Pixolator's ZLauncher Script for your default script select Zif_Slick_Booter.txt (zsc) when you create a new button.

NOTE:
In case people are having trouble, to interact with nodes using Zif-Slick you
don't select by clicking on a node with a mouse. Instead, hover the mouse over
the node you wish to select and press the "s" key or the "Select"
button. After selecting a node in this way you can select additional nodes by
using "Shift" "s".
You can also navigate to a desired node by pressing the "Fwd" and
"Back" buttons or the shortcut keys "f"/"b" to
scroll thru nodes in your model.
Once you have selected a node or nodes (shift s) then you can use many of the
different functions to apply the feature to all selected nodes.
SpaceUsed for positional controls In/out/up/down/left/right Determines the distance these controls move the selected node Use X-Symmetry On/Off to select Symmetry mode |
SelectLook - Zsphere information Last - Select the Node that was last clicked with the mouse As you select the current Node it will turn a random color. This should make it easier to spot individual nodes in a complex model
|
MoveIn/Out/Up/Down/Left/Right- Moves the selected Node(s) the distance dermined by the Spacing setting above when zsphere object is rotated 0,0,0 these directional commands will be correct. If you rotate the model via controls they may not be as expected. (use Orientate to return the model to 0,0,0) You can align the internal Rotation of the model using the Rot XYZ controls which are covered later in the document. These commands will help you position the currently select child zsphere in space. Helpful if you are trying to rotoscope or using a sketch as a background.
|
SizeThese controls size the currently selected node. The numbers indicated the amount of change sizing will affect the zsphere. For example: Press + .25, this will increase the size of the node by 25% of its current diameter. -.5 will decrease the node by 50% of its current diameter. You can also enter the exact desired size of the node in the Size Slider. It is noted that a size of 1 for a zsphere is a pretty large value, typical sizes range from .1 to 1 TaperTaper will increase (positive) or decrease (negative) the current node based upon the diameter of the node that precedes it. The amount of Taper is determined by the value of the Tincr slider. Set uses the currently selected node as the Size to Taper |
CreateNew Node - Create a NEW
PARENT Node. Use this to start a new model
|
ColorFill - Fill the model with the currently selected model. NOTE: to prepare the model for further coloring it must be initially filled with a color. Init - If you have trouble with colors use this to make sure all nodes have a valid color/ Color - Keyboard "c" Color the current node with the currently selected color. Use the Forward and Back buttons to select the node CPick - Keyboard Shift-c Color the node directly under the Mouse. NOTE: Only works with the keyboard shortcut. Clear - Clear the current canvas Ms/Mr - Save current position of model so that you can return to this exact orientation |
